The Proxy Server is not Responding: while accessing SharePoint Central Administration

I was trying to access Central Administrator in the IE browser suddenly I was getting the following error. This issue might be because of recent software or hardware changes on the computer or sing a proxy server to connect to Internet.

 

How to resolve:

You could fix this issue by disabling the proxy settings.

  • Go to Control Panel -> Internet Option -> Connection tab -> Click on LAN settings button
  • Uncheck the box to “Use a proxy server for you LAN“
  • Click Ok to save the setting.
