X10 is a new programming language invented by IBM and based on Java. It is designed specifically with parallel processing in mind.

That is interesting. The only X10 I knew about is the BSR X10 (industry standard); I use it every day.

I wondered at first whether Vikas was talking about the X10 communication standard but, as he'd put the question in the Java category, I concluded that he was probably talking about the programming language of the same name.
