How to degrade internet explorer version in windows 7?

Question

 Hi All,
         I am trying to install IE6 on windows 7 but it gives me message that higher version is already installed. 
Now you are thinking that why i need  IE6 old version ....i need old version because i will have to log in AICTE website portal which is run in IE6 this is not only one reason i have lots of issues and i can solved when i installed IE6.
        I have tried to this solution but it didnt work for me.
        1)Go to control panel -> view installed updates -> uninstalled internet explorer after doing this it will degrade IE updated version to IE8 version which is default version in windows7. But still it degrades to IE8 but not IE6. So i tried another solution
        2) Go to control panel -> turn windows features on or off -> uncheck internet explorer check box then download IE6 and try to install but it gives me message that higher version is already installed so what should i do in this situation. 
         
         So please help me if you know how to do this.
