Posted on: 01 Apr 2013
I am using VS express 2012 for Windows Desktop. When I call the New File menu following files are appearing on pop up window:

Text File
XML File

I am expecting HTML page as well with these items but it is not there, please tell me how to load HTML Page.

I don't have the 2012 Desktop Express edition though VC# 2010 Express doesn't have an option to add an HTML page either.

I can't really think why you'd want to do this anyway unless (perhaps) you're using the WebBrowser control.

Are you sure that it's not the 2012 Express for Web edition you want?

There is a demonstration about ASP.NET in the YouTube. That required HTML Page. Following link shows that demonstration.

To create an ASP.NET application, you do need the Express for Web edition rather than the Desktop edition. The latter is for Windows Forms, WPF or Console applications.
