How do I rebuild the outlook 2011 for mac email database?

How can I rebuild/restore the outlook 2011 for mac email database. I cannot access any of the emails present in my outlook 2011 email account, and someone suggested me to rebuild the database. Being a non-techy guy I am finding it a really tough task. Please help
