VB.NET is Visual Basic .NET that is a successor of Visual Basic 6. Everything you learnt in VB 2005 is VB.NET. Using Visual Basic to write .NET applications (Visual Studio 2003 or later versions) is VB.NET.
In VB 2008 and Now VB 2010 (or VB 9.0), there are few new features. Everything else is same.
That said, VB 2005, VB.NET, VB 2008, VB 2010 or VB 9, all are same thing :).
Plus if you already know C#, you already on VB.NET too. Just syntaxes are different. All classes and libraries are same.
Our site VB.NET Heaven is full with VB.NET related information.
Good Luck!
