tabcontrol without tabs

Hi everyone,

I want to make an application with a tabcontrol with two tabs. But I don't want the tab seletor on the top to be visible.

On the first tab, there will be a list of objects with just the name, the second tab will contain the detail fields. When a object is double clicked in the first tab, the second tab should be opened with the details of the selected object. I know how to do this, but when I use a tabcontrol there is a bar on the top of the control where you can select a tab. I don't want this bar to be visible.

Does anyone know how to do this? Or perhaps some other control that will enable me to build to pages and select the page I want from the code?

There is no straight forward way of acheiving this functionality.

Take a look at the link below. His tutorial shows how to draw your own tab pages. If you could play around with this code I am sure that you can stop the code from drawing the buttons on the top of the tab control which enables you to navigate through tabs.

Hint: Just commenting out the required lines would do.

Using the Windows API it would be relatively easy to put a child dialog in a window; a dialog is like a form. In .Net I think it is not so easy to do, or at least figure out how to do it. If you can figure out how to use a form as a subform then that would be the way to do it.
 
In .Net, you can easily create UserControls and you could show/hide them as needed.
