The software engineer will work with both the technical leaders and other engineers to develop both in-house and customer facing web applications. The position will be primarily developing web based application with focus on front end web development.
Responsibilities
- Develop web-based software using a services-oriented architecture.
- Development using ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web API
- Design and develop software using client-side frameworks such as knockoutJS, BackboneJS, AnuglarJS etc.
- Develop REST Services using WCF
- Technical Analysis and design to solve critical business problems
- Work in fast-paced environment using Agile development methodologies
- Communicate effectively both within the team and to business users and customers.
Qualifications
- 3+ Years experience developing web applications using ASP.Net and C# in a services-oriented architecture
- 3+ years client side experience using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web API
- Experience in Backbone JS and/or other JavaScript libraries using MVVM pattern a plus
- Experience developing Webs services using WCF/Web API (REST Preferred)
- Knowledge of responsive web design, media queries, cross browser compatibilities
- Strong knowledge of web application design and development
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
- Knowledge of database concepts and MS SQL Server is a plus
- Understanding of web application design and development
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and as a team
Experience and Education:
- BS/MS in Computer science or equivalent
- 2-3 years of post-college experience or 3-5 years of professional experience without a degree
