Today, in this article let's play around with one of the interesting and most useful concepts in SharePoint 2010.

Question: What are Links?

In simple terms "They provide a list of URL links for the user to navigate to specific sites".

I think we are now good to go and implement this wonderful concept.

Step 1: Open SharePoint 2010 Central Administration and navigate to a specific site:

Step 2: Select "Links" from the listed categories. Give a name to the links:

Step 3: The Links are now created; the site now looks like this:

Step 4: Adding new link:

Step 5: The link has been added to the site and now it looks like this:
