Question: What is a Picture Library?
In simple terms "It provides a common platform on the site where the users can share, upload and see the pictures". I think we are now good to go and implement this wonderful concept.
Step 1: Open SharePoint 2010 Central Administration and navigate to a specific site:
Step 2: Navigate to "Site Actions" -> "More Options...":
Step 3: Select picture library from the listed category. Give a name to the picture library:
Step 4: The picture library is now created. The site looks like this:
Step 5: Now upload a picture into the library:
Step 6: The pictures in the site now looks like this:
Step 7: Selection of a specific picture looks like this:
