Introduction

In this article we are explaining how to enable File and Printer Sharing in Windows 8. Windows 8 provides the two methods for File Sharing directly for your computer. First you can share files from any folder on your computer and second it can be done from the Public folder. You can Share the File or Folder using your computer or another computer on the same network. These two methods allow you to share files or folders with someone on the same network using your computer or a different computer.

Windows 8 provides the File Sharing and Printer Sharing. You can share the printer on your computer. If the printer is attached to your computer then you can share it with anyone on the same network. It does not matter what type printer is installed on your computer. If it is a directly attached printer cable then using the cable, you can share it.

Two Methods for File Sharing

  1. Share Files from any folder In this method, you can decide who will be able to make changes to the files you share and what kind of changes they can make to them. You can share files or folders with someone using your computer or another computer on the same network. In this method, Share Permission can be granted to an individual or group of users on the same network.
