System Maintenance Troubleshooter in Windows 8

The Windows Operating System does not help you to run your Computer but helps you to regularly check and maintain it. The System Maintenance Troubleshooter performs common maintenance tasks in Windows, such as cleaning up unused files and shortcuts. System Maintenance Troubleshooter looks for unused files and shortcuts that you can clean up or remove so that your computer can run faster. The Disk Defragmenter was also available in the older versions of Microsoft Windows, but Windows 8 has enhanced it to a great extent. We will review the built-in tools that are available for the system maintenance in Windows 8.
 
Windows 8 provides an enhanced and improved version of the System Restore feature. The disk cleaner provides a great Windows tool which performs disk clean up operation. It basically finds and removes the temporary files, also empties the Recycle Bin, and detects and removes the files that are no longer needed. The System Maintenance Troubleshooter automatically performs common maintenance tasks. The troubleshooting option will be displayed and you can troubleshoot any problem relevant to the system, network, internet, etc. Troubleshooting in Control Panel contains several troubleshooting programs that can automatically fix some common problems with your computer, such as problems with networking, hardware, and devices, using the web and program compatibility.
 
The System Maintenance task is a built-in tool to perform and keep up common tasks in Windows 8 by detecting issues such as cleaning up unused files and shortcuts. The main advantage of this procedure is that it makes your PC run faster. Before we start with the steps and procedure make sure:
  • You have administrator permission or administrator password of the computer.
  • For better results, you should have your PC connected to the internet for online help. This Troubleshooter can also be used without an internet connection to your PC.
Open the System Maintenance troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
 

Steps to use System Maintenance Troubleshooter in Windows 8

 
Step 1
 
You move your mouse to the right bottom and click on the search as shown below.

Step 2
 
Choose the "setting Tab"; now type Troubleshooting in the search box and click on it which is displayed on the left side of the Windows.

Step 3
 
After step 2 click on the "Run Maintenance task" under the System and Security. The System Maintenance Windows opens.

Step 4
 
Click on the "Next" in the System Maintenance interface.

Select "Try troubleshooting as an administrator" if you are using another account; enter the administrator password then continue. This starts detecting the issues as shown below.

Step 5
 
If Troubleshooting is done, you can see if there are updates and close it. To choose information click on "View detailed information".

If you clicked on next then again open the Troubleshooting has completed pop up window and then choose the option "Close the Troubleshooter" to close the Troubleshooter.
