In this article we explain how to block a program's internet access using the Windows Firewall in Windows 8 when we need to block a specific program's internet access for security reasons. To block a program's internet access the best option is the Windows Firewall. The Windows Firewall keeps a computer network safe and secure and provides the ability to block a specified application from accessing the internet.

How to bock a program's internet access in Windows 8

Step 1

Go to the Control Panel and click on "Windows Firewall".

In the Windows Firewall window click on "Advanced Settings".

In this step click on "Outbound rules".

In this step click on new rule.

In this step click on "Program" and click on "Next".

Now click on "Browse" then select the program to be blocked from accessing the internet then click on "Next".

Select "Block the connection" and click on "Next" and use the following procedure.
