Introduction

In this article we explain how to add email accounts in Windows 8. By default in Windows 8, Windows pulls our Windows Live email accout that you log in with but if we want to open multiple accounts, here's how to add more, even G-mail.  

Procedure tor add an email account

Step 1

First we move to the Windows 8 Start Screen, and we'll see how many messages are waiting and also a bit of a preview of the message body. In Windows 8, we want to add a new account to Mail. To do that, click on the Mail tile from the Windows 8 Start Screen.

Step 2

After that move the mouse to the lower-left corner to bring up the Charms Bar. Click "Settings".

Then at the top select "Accounts".

Step 4

Next, a list of email accounts currently set up on your system is shown. Click on "Add an Account".

Step 5

After that we select the email account we want to add. Here I am adding a G-mail account.

Step 6

Type in the email address and password for the account. Click "Connect".

After that we'll see the new email account and number of messages.
