How to Open Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 in Safe Boot

Introduction

In this article you will learn how to open your Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 in Safe Boot.

Safe Boot is a very powerful and useful tool, if a Driver of your system is causing a problem and you want to uninstall it but you have problems uninstalling it then you should open your system in Safe Boot because then you can easily uninstall your Drivers or a single Driver.

But Safe Boot has some disadvantages also, like it will not allow you to use your Drivers, the graphics of your system will not be as good as in Normal Mode, but after removing your system's problem you can again start your system in Normal Mode.

Now I will show you the procedure for starting the system in Safe Mode.

Step 1

If you are using Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8 then right-click on the extreme left hand corner of you screen and click on "Run". Otherwise simply go to the Start Menu and click on "Run".

Step 2

Now the Run Dialog Box will be opened.

Step 3

In the Run Dialog Box type the command "msconfig" and click on the "Ok" Button.

Step 4

Now the System Configuration Dialog Box will be opened, here by default the General Tab will be opened.

You need to click on the Boot Tab. In the Boot Tab go to the Boot Option and check the "Safe Boot", then click on the "Ok" button.

You should restart your system so that this configuration can be applied on your system.
