Get App History on Windows 8

Introduction

Windows 8 and 8.1 is now a very smart operating system. It keeps track of apps for you and shuts most of them down when you don't use them. However, some of the apps still run in the background and get data and updates regularly.

Do you want to determine what your app has been doing on your Windows 8 or Windows 8.1?

The new Windows 8/8.1 Task Manager has a new tab called App History. That shows all the app history and updates of their recent activity. It also shows when the last time tiles were updated on an app.

To launch the Task Manager, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and select Task Manager from the list.

You will see the Task Manager launched.

Click on the "App history" tab where you see the name of the app, CPU time, Network activity, and tile updates.
