ASP.NET 5 is the next version of ASP.NET 4.5 available in Visual Studio 2015.
Yesterday, Microsoft made some major announcements, including the open sourcing of .NET, making Visual Studio to build cross platform applications and more. The announcements of ASP.NET 5.0 was also one of them.
ASP.NET 5, with the help of Visual Studio 2015, lets you create modern web applications. Modern web applications not only target all devices, including PCs, Macs, Tablets and smartphones, but also work with any browser or operating system.
