I know but this is insane. Apple is not giving .NET API for iPhone development called MonoTouch  for free. Not only that, MonoTouch requires a Mac machine to develop applications. So you can't develop iPhone applications on a PC.

MonotTouch comes in three versions - Professional, Enterprise, and Enterprise5. Pro is a personal license. Rest two are company licenses for single and 5 users.

Cost is $399, $999, and $3,999.

So to get started with MonoTouch, you must spend at least $399.

That's no good ;)
