Hiding Share Buttons in Sharepoint 2013

In this article we will see about how to hide the SHARE button in SharePoint 2013.This is very interesting requirement we got it from user.

Step1: Go to Site settings page of your SharePoint site



Step2: Click on "Site Permissions" link under "Users and Permissions" group

Step3: You will redirect to the below screen .And you can see the Access request Settings . Share button is relying on "Access requests" configuration of the site. To disable "Share button" in SharePoint 2013, simply disable access requests.



Step 4: Click the Access Request Button in SharePoint site. Then you will get pop out window below like this.



Uncheck "Allow access request" and click on "Ok" to save your changes.This should hide Share button in SharePoint 2013

Note: Share button will still be visible for Site owners and administrators!
