How To Install .NET Core 1.0

Let’s prepare our development environment for .NET Core 1.0 on Windows platform. We have a lot of options available to prepare development environment.

  • Use Visual Studio 2015 with Update 3, using .NET Core 1.0.0 - VS 2015 Tooling Preview 2.
  • Visual Studio Community. using .NET Core 1.0.0 - VS 2015 Tooling Preview 2.

We are going to use Visual Studio 2015 with Update 3, using .NET Core 1.0.0 - VS 2015 Tooling Preview 2.

Please follow these steps.

  • Download and install Visual Studio 2015 Update 3. Alternatively, update through Extensions and Updates.
    For this, open Tools Menu >> Extensions and Updates >> Updates >> Product Updates >> Visual Studio 2015 Update 3.
  • Download and install NET Core 1.0.0 - VS 2015 Tooling Preview 2.
