O365 Create Alerts For SharePoint Documents Using OOTB Alert Me

Introduction

In this blog, we would like to talk about how to create the alerts for the individual documents, using Out Of The Box model OOTB Alert me in SharePoint Online O365.

Login with SharePoint Online 365 site and select any document library in your SharePoint site.


Click the link after the Pin to Top.


The dropdown will appear, select the Alert me link and you will get the popup page.

In this popup, give an Alert Title section and enter the title for this alert. This is included in the subject of the notification sent for this alert.

Now, send Alerts to section.

You can enter the user names or email addresses. Separate them with semicolons.

You can send the alerts by checkbox. You can use an email or a text message.

Specify whether to filter the alerts based on the specific criteria like when you want to receive the alerts, and when a document is changed/document added or deleted.

if someone else changes a document last modified by you, you can receive alerts.
