Xamarin Community Outreach Program - Calicut

This will be a BYOD (Bring your own device) workshop with Xamarin and Azure.
 
All participants will be provided with Azure passes worth $100. 
 
Prerequisites 
  • Setup your machine with Xamarin on Windows/Mac.
  • Bring your own Internet dongle (for working on Azure related hands-on labs)
  • Every session will have an associated Hands-on Lab which the participant can follow along with the presenter.
Hardware: Windows / Mac with at least 8GB RAM.
 
Software: Windows 10 : Visual Studio with Xamarin installed, Visual Studio Emulator for Android or Google x86 Emulators installed and configured for API 23 or above.
 
These guidelines will help you install the software correctly.

  • After you install, you should run a sample Xamarin.Forms project (File->New Project), update nuGets, and run the Android project on emulator to ensure if everything that is installed, and works well.

A complimentary lunch will be provided by sponsors during the event. Food and beverages are determined on a venue-by-venue basis, but feel free to contact us with any questions.

Speakers

  • Abdul Muhaymin Arif is an enthusiast C# developer who is passionate about technologies in Microsoft Stack. Muhaymin started his endeavours by developing for Windows Phone when he was a student, which awarded him Microsoft Student Partner recognition. During college days, he was also awarded Xamarin Student Partner recognition after his interests turned to cross-platform mobile application development using C# and Xamarin. He was able to ship various apps for his clients. He also have vast experience in Microsoft Azure services, for helping clients to scale their business to next level. Currently running his own startup Fantacode Solutions, which focuses on product development for businesses.
  • Mohammed Ramees is a graduate on Computer Science and Engineering who is much passionate on Microsoft Technologies. Started as a Microsoft Student Partner while being in campus, he had delivered hundreds of session on various Microsoft Technologies throughout the country and founded Microsoft Developer Community Kerala to make the students, graduates and startups of the state aware about various offerings and opportunities from Microsoft. He is a certified Microsoft Trainer and currently working in the team of Kerala Startup Mission as a fellow.
  • I am Senior Software Developer at BEO Software, architecting and developing Cross-Platform Native Mobile Applications with Xamarin. Co-Founder of XHackers-Kerala, a developer community which discusses latest developments in Xamarin and Azure. Technology is my passion. In love with C#.
