browser support

Hi,

I need to access particular folder on network. On click of button, new window should take me to that folder. It works correctly on IE 11, as IE understands difference between physical path & url. But same thing fails on chrome & firefox.

I am wondering since this is browser specific, it may not need code changes. Are there any plug-in to allow browser access. Or is there a way that folder should be exposed to browser in particular way.

Kindly help me with your inputs.
