Do I need to study AngularJS or .net core?

Question

I am a Asp.net MVC Web Developer with 6 years of experience. I would like to become a software architect who builds highly robust, secure and scalable systems. I feel that the client-side technologies are doing wonders, and becoming more popular now a days. Since I am basically a .net developer, can I start learning AngularJS, which seems like I am moving away from my core technology(.net). I may stuck in between Neither a good .net developer nor Angularjs developer. will it impact my career?. Or Should I concentrate only on .net core?
