knowledges required for project manager

Question

suppose some one working as Sr developer with dotnet technology for many year and if that developer suddenly try to find PM job where dotnet technology will be used for his project then tell me what are the knowledges a PM need to know to successfully complete the project ?

 

what are the tools and technique a project manager has to know?

 

what are the excel file template project manager has to use which any point of time show in details how much job done and how much due ?

 

how PM can show each developer performance to upper managerment any time ?
