pop up window

in grid view i have 2 button open and close.if i click open it will check 1 conditon from database.if that conditon will true thn it will show pop up window with single ok button.if that condition fail it will  show pop up window with yes or no button.how i will implement this thing please give me some suggestion.And Remember this 2 popup will be creat using javascript.i already create this 2 pop up but how i will call this popup.
