Technology Switch

Question

Hello sir/madam,I am working in .net domain, i joined this company as a fresher i have completed one year. Sometime i get task which is on delphi or some old technolgy or maximum task i got which were support or maintainence. I heard one thing that if you want to continue in development you need to be update daily with new technology, because lack of work or task in company, my interest is going down from .net development. I am thinking for moving in testing but in my company there is only mannual testing, What should i do :


1.I should change or not change technolgy,
2.If yes then i need to change outside.
3.If yes then how i will get because i have development experience how i will move to testing without experiance, can i do some automation testing course and will put testing experience in my resume in place of developer.


Please let me know. I am very confused....
