Currently seeking a Web Developer in Tampa, FL for Bisk Education! Bisk Education is a rapidly growing company which facilitates the promotion and online delivery of degree and certificate programs from the nation’s leading traditional universities.
Position Summary:
This employee is responsible for developing moderate to complex coding initiatives within the company. Candidate should be able to demonstrate heavy front-end and back-end web development experience over the last 4-5 years using the latest technologies such as ASP.NET, LINQ, Entity Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Web Services, RESTful APIs, etc. The candidate must have the ability to resolve complex development issues, and make recommendations in how to best implement technologies and address technical changes to the codebase. The candidate must also have the ability to work with a team or individually while providing positive professional influence to coworkers.
The ideal candidate will be a strong self-learner and a passion for technology in personal as well as professional life.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Candidate would demonstrate strong analytical problem solving skills to complement a strong development skill set
- Candidate would demonstrate the ability to estimate, track and implement development tasks
- Candidate would interact with developers on how to best apply coding standards with the core technologies being used
- Candidate would understand the functional and technical details of the products they are responsible for maintaining
- Candidate should be able to document functional requirements when meeting with non-technical contacts
- Candidate must be able to troubleshoot and resolve complex development issues
- Candidate should be capable of evaluating the technical competence of another subordinate or peer developer
- Candidate must be able to work within a team or individually
- Candidate must be capable of learning technology quickly on his or her own
- Ideal candidate would show interests in technology in personal life as well as professional life. They should be able to communicate well with management and technical staff
- Candidate should be considered a positive professional influence to development team and department
- Candidate should understand that overtime is occasionally expected
- Candidate should understand that work with offshore teams is part of their responsibility
