Windows Phone 8 has
officially launched worldwide, but several of the handsets powered by Microsoft's new mobile OS have yet to hit store shelves. According to
TechCrunch, AT&T will launch Nokia's Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 this Friday, November 9th, with pre-orders opening up tomorrow.
While price predictions for the latest Lumia models have ranged depending on the country and the carrier, TechCrunch reports that AT&T will sell the flagship
Lumia 920 for $99 with a two year contract. It is the same price attached to the earlier Lumia 900 on AT&T.
For a limited period, the carrier will include one of Nokia's wireless charging plates, a key feature distinguishing the Lumia models from other Windows Phone 8 devices.
As for the Lumia 820, the more basic model will sell for $49 on contract.
TechCrunch also reports that HTC's Windows Phone 8X, though it does not have a definite release date, is set for a launch before Thanksgiving. The 16GB model will go for $199 with a 2-year contract, while the 8GB model will sell for $99.
