According to the report, BT broadband customers have already surpassed two million downloads of the app on Android, iOS, and Blackberry. With the new app, users can save on 3G data usage and identify hotspots using map location.

The development comes after BT consolidated the OpenZone and Fon networks to create BT Wi-Fi, now free to more than 6 million BT Broadband home and business customers.
