Posted by Michael Tanenbaum News | Operating Systems Nov 20, 2012
Skype has announced the release of its latest app for the Android OS.
After debuting an updated user interface, new Microsoft login, and added features for Windows Phone 8, Engadget reports today that Skype has released an updated version of Skype for the Android operating system.

According to the report, Skype has tailored its Android UI to popular devices such as the Galaxy Tab 2, the Nexus 7, and ASIS' Transformer Prime in an effort to take advantage of the larger screen features. While the Skype home screen will remain front and center on most smartphones, tablets users will see a more contact-centered design.

The new app can be accessed at the Google Play Store here.
