In an
official Yahoo! blog
, CEO Marissa Mayer announced today that the company will begin rolling out a more intuitive, message-focused version of Yahoo! Mail.
"We’ve redesigned the new version of Yahoo! Mail with speed in mind -- getting through your emails is faster than ever before. We’ve also made your inbox more intuitive and easier to navigate, allowing you to focus on what matters most: your messages. And, because mobile is everything these days, Yahoo! Mail now has a consistent look and feel across devices,"
Mayer wrote in the blog.
The upgraded mail service will be introduced on the web over the next few days, while the mobile apps are now available for download and Yahoo! is seeking user feedback.
It will be interesting to see how the mobile apps look on various operating systems, as this has been a
major area of focus for Yahoo!
since Marissa Mayer stepped in as CEO in July.
