from Microsoft VP ScottGu, announced that both Windows Azure Mobile Services and Windows Azure Web Sites have now reached general availability status. Both Mobile Services and Web Sites were previously released in preview versions.
Windows Azure Web Sites come in two tiers. The Free version allows customers to host up to 10 web sites in a shared compute environment, while the Standard Tier can host up to 500 websites with dedicated per-customer VM instances.
Windows Azure Web Sites uses the languages and open source apps of a customer’s choice and supports deployment with Git, FTP, and TFS. It also allows for the integration of other services like MySQL, SQL Database, caching, CDN, and storage.
