Intel CEO Unveils Series Of Products, Initiatives And Associations

Intel announced a range of products, initiatives and strategic associations to revolutionize consumers.
Intel’s CEO Brian Krzanich made his first appearance to unwrap the range of products, initiatives and strategic associations focused on enhancing the innovations through a range of mobile and wearable devices along with the individual inventor's own connected creations.
 
All the announcements are made during the pre-show keynote for the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show to be held this week. Take a quick look of what Intel has unveiled in the pre-show keynote:
 
First of all the new product introduction began with Intel’s developed designs for wearable devices which includes smart ear buds that can convey the information like heart rates, how far the runner has gone and where they are at present, along with the always-on smart headset with up-to-date personal assistant technologies and a smart wireless charging bowl.
 
The company announced the partnership with Barneys New York, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and retailer Opening Ceremony to make the wearable technologies more fashionable. Intel states “You’ll see more and more partnerships as we develop more and more technologies.”
 
Krzanich also revealed, debuted, Intel’s Edison, a chip that consist the power of a Pentium-class PC including WiFi, Bluetooth, and support for multiple operating systems that will be available midyear. Along with this Intel also announced a contest known as Make It Wearable, which offers $1.3M in prizes and will give opportunities to top 10 contestants to work with Intel.
 
The Intel chief said that the company also plans to offer the McAfee security software free for all the Intel-based Android mobile devices. He announced further that the McAfee brand name will be rebranded by the “Intel Security”; which will become the future identification of the Intel products and services in the security segment; without changing the familiar red shield logo.
 
Krzanich also states that Intel will also support the Dual OS Platform computers, with the push of a button, users will easily be able to swap between the Windows and the Android operating system. The company wants to help companies find new uses for the smart devices.
 
Lastly, Krzanich announced that the entire line of microprocessors released this year will be conflict-mineral free (tin, tantalum and tungsten). Krzanich invites the whole electronics industry to join its Conflict-Free Smelter group.
 
At the end of the keynote, Krzanich called up several innovators, some employees, and the Intel prize winners on the stage.
