Dropbox App Now Available On Windows 10

Windows 10 is slowly and steadily adding more and more big name in universal apps. The most recent one added is Dropbox, which comes with some interesting and useful features which will pull you away from the web interface.
 
In its official blog Microsoft announces,

“The Dropbox app for Windows 10 will begin rolling out in the Windows Store this week as a free download for Windows 10 customers.”
 
Dropbox has made it easier to view or edit your files on any device, anytime and anywhere. It also allows you to privately share files of any size with anyone and allows you to back up your work automatically. The new app, built on the Universal Windows Platform, allows users to take advantage of the convenience of Dropbox with Windows 10 features such as Windows Hello, Live Tiles, and Notifications.
 
The new features are as given below:
  • The update for Windows 10 helps in improving performance, along with faster launching of the Universal Windows Platform app.
  • Windows Hello enables adding an extra protection which will allow you to use your face, fingerprint, or iris as your password to unlock your Dropbox.

  • You can now gain quick access to your recent files; all you need to do is right-click on the Dropbox app icon in the taskbar.

  • The app also provides its users with interactive device Notification, where you will be able to accept a shared folder invitation without opening the app with notifications.

  • It also comes with an option of quick search; all you need to do is click on the search icon and type whatever you want to search.
  • When you need to copy or move a particular file into Dropbox, all you need to do is just drag and drop it from the Windows File Explorer. You can also copy or move files within the app to another folder, all you need to do is drag and drop the files between folders by holding Ctrl to copy.

  • Now, you can also add comments directly to your files and also bring others into your discussion just you adding @mentions. 
The Dropbox app for Windows 10 is optimized for tablets and will be available in the Windows Store withing a few days. However, if you are using Windows 10 PC, you will be able to check out its new features with the new app or use the Dropbox desktop client.
