Google Drive Can Now Control Sharing Notifications On Mobile

Earlier, all sharing notifications which involved Google Drive files were handled through email. However, last November, Google added in the ability for the Drive app to send notifications. Today, Google has rolled out a new update, which finally adds settings to control notifications from the mobile app.
Until recently, users would need to go to settings on the web in order to control the notifications sent. However, users can now access these settings from any one of the Drive apps. The notifications settings have not yet been applied on an app-by-app basis, but certain changes have been applied to Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Users will not be able to turn off notifications for one app, while keeping the service on for another.

In settings, users now have the ability to change notification sounds, vibration controls, and exactly what they need to be notified about. Google Sheets is also gaining a new update on the web, where users will be able to name a range of cells, so that they can easily be kept track of and used in formulas. In the Android Sheets app, renamed ranges will also be shown.
This updated app is now available on Android, and is yet to be updated on iOS.
