Google Maps update for Android rolling out, brings Traffic reports and more

A new Google Maps app for Android has landed on the Google Play store, which sports a fresh interface and new features to boost discovery and beating the traffic, reports CNet.

The updated app will probably only work on devices running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and it has managed to download the .apk file.

In addition to the revamped design, Google has introduced a change to discovery which helps users browse and find restaurants, hotels, bars and other places via the service. That’s very Foursquare=like, while it also now includes live traffic updates, incident reports and dynamic rerouting.

The roll out is happening on the Play Store right now. If you don't see it immediately and don't want to try out the APK, just wait a bit.
