Google Updates Firebase With Analytics For Developers

At Google I/O, the company has announced some major changes to Firebase, which now has analytics for developers that says it's “like Google analytics for apps.”

Google informs it users that Firebase will now be able to do crash reporting by finding issues and bugs in the apps. It checks the behavior and session information of the users in order to diagnose issues and point the developers towards the right way in order to solve the problem.

Developers will also be able to test configurations at scale by using Firebase Remote Config, this would allow the users to toggle features on and off as per the requirement.

Engagement is also essential, hence Google is leveraging Google Cloud Messaging in order to help developers to run notification campaigns to keep the users interested. As the two are now integrated, its new name will be Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), and it will go on to optimize for battery efficiency and reliability.

Firebase will now allow developers to store items with Firebase Storage. It is powered by Google cloud storage and its SDK can easily identify as well as handle slower network connections.

The new Firebase works for iOS, Android as well as the Web, and it is now available.
