Traditionally, Apple positions its major hardware releases for Fridays, a release during the week of September 12 would mean that the upcoming iPhone 7 is most likely to be released on Friday, September 16, 2016.

It's been largely expected that Apple might go on to launch 3 iPhones this year, however, Evan Blass has only revealed two codenames for the upcoming iPhone.

The biggest and the most controversial news regarding the upcoming iPhone is that Apple will be removing its 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of wireless Bluetooth or Lightning headphone. There still seems to be a mixed idea about how Apple would facilitate such a big change. Well, we will have to wait and watch for the new features that Apple will be bringing in its upcoming iPhone 7.

According to the rumors, it is also being expected that the upcoming iPhone 7 will come with a dual rear camera, along with clearer redesigned antenna lines and the base model starting with 32 GB instead of 16 GB.
