KDE Released Second Alpha Of Frameworks 5

KDE has officially released the second alpha development of the forthcoming KDE Frameworks 5. The first alpha of the frameworks was released in February.

In this alpha release, the kprintutils library has been abandoned and the kwallet-framework has been renamed to kwallet. Apart from this, several other frameworks have been added.

KDE Frameworks 5 Alpha 2 has improvements directed for frameworks to work on the Wayland on Linux and Mac OS X. If the things progress on time, a Beta version should be available in April and the final version could be scheduled to arrive in June.

More details on the KDE Frameworks 5 Alpha 2 can be found via the announcement at KDE.org.
