Linux 3.13-RC3 Kernel Released With Several Improvements

Linus Torvalds has released the latest development of Linux 3.14-RC3 with several fixes and improvements. The rate of change for the 3.14-RC3 is much greater than the RC2.

A lot of changes have been made to the kernel networking code including the several different drivers such as theGPU, media, block, etc. along with incorporating the architecture updates (x86, ARM64, s390), as well as the various mm and tooling (perf) improvements.

Linus Torvalds, in the official announcement, said that, "You really should compile and test it, though. By -rc3, the scary stuff should have all been fixed. Not that there really was that much scary stuff this time around, I think."

It should be noted that it’s a development release and it is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
