Microsoft Announces The Availability Of Node.js Tools For Visual Studio 1.0 Beta

Microsoft announced the availability of its Node.js Tools for Visual Studio 1.0 Beta (NTVS), offering many new features, enhancing the overall productivity experience of the developers working with the Node.js tools within Visual Studio.

Some new features, such as the expanded support for Visual Studio Express for Web, debugging improvements, remote debugging in Azure and Azure Worker role support, have been added.

This release of NTVS is now available for the Visual Studio 2013 Express for Web. Together, with the Azure Node.js SDK, now one can use Visual Studio and Azure to build high-performance Node.js websites and apps.

Node.js Tools for Visual Studio (NTVS) is open source under the Apache 2.0 license and is available on CodePlex. For the complete list of the new features and capabilities included in the latest release, read the Microsoft’s blog post.
