Microsoft Rolls Out Xbox One March Update With Dolby Support, Twitch, And More

Microsoft started rolling out the Xbox One March update, featuring improved matchmaking, party chat, friends features, and more. The company launched a video to show off all the improvements that comes with the update.

The March update comes with a variety of improvements, features, and fixes. You can take a look at the new improvements listed below: 

  • Now you will get your friends list more quickly
  • Party chat will turn on by default
  • Chat with friends playing different games as well as with friends who are online
  • Select “Invite friends” option to invite your friends for games and party
  • See a list of “Recent Players.”
  • Twitch live streaming support
  • Dolby Digital sound
  • Support for 50Hz output for Xbox One
  • Adjust Xbox One Volumes with Volume up/down adjustments
  • New ways to stay connected with SmartGlass
  • Support for new Xbox One accessories
  • Browser improvements
  • IR blasting of power and volume to TVs/AVRs is now available in all regions
  • Easy sound bar setup
  • General improvements include updates like ability to view Game Chips in Snap Mode and new features to protect user settings.
