Office 365 Project Time Reporter Now Available On iOS

Microsoft announced Office 365 Project Time Reporter iOS app last fall. It is now available on the Apple Store. This app will enable team members to submit their timesheets and report their progress on tasks, tracked in Project Online.

With Office 365 Project Time Reporter on your iPhone, you will now be able to easily add assignments or non-project work to your Time-sheet or create new personal tasks in the Time-sheet view. You will also be able to save the Time-sheet, which will allow you to return later as well as send in for approval. You will also be able to keep track of all your current as well as overdue tasks in the Task view, filter and sort tasks so as to find the right ones, and also submit status updates.
 
How to get started
 
Enter time and task progress:
 
The first step is to get Office 365 Project Time Reporter for your iPhone. Once this is installed, point it to your Project Online site, sign in with your school or work account, and then use the Timesheet view so as to enter your hours.
 
In order to enter time, if your Time-sheet already has the right rows listed, you will be able to easily fill out your hours.
 
When you are done, all you need to do is click on Send or Save.
 
However, if you need to add a row to your Time-sheet so as to capture your hours correctly, all you need to do is click on Add, and choose the kind of row that you are adding, fill out the additional details about the row, and then click on Add.
 
In order to enter your task process separately, click on the menu button, which is available on the top left side, and then go on to click on Tasks.
 
Click on the task, which you want to update, click on Edit and then update the task.
 
When you are done with making the updates, click on Send.
 
If you only want to view rows for a specific project, all you need to do is click on Filter, and then select a project from the list.
 
If you want to fill out time for a different period, all you need to do is click on Previous or Next so as to navigate through time reporting periods.
 
Add comments:
 
In order to add comments, you will at first need to click on the menu button, which is now available on the top left, click on Settings and then click on Comment on submission in order to turn the comments on.
The next step is to click on the menu button so as to return to the Time-sheet or Tasks view.
 
Once you have turned the comments on, the next time that you send your time or task progress to your manager, allowing you to add comment before sending.
 
Take back a submitted Time-sheet:
 
In case you realize that you need to make changes after you have sent your Time-sheet for approval, then you can easily go on to recall your Time-sheet, all you need to do is click on the three dots, available at the top on the right, and then click on Manage Time-sheets.
 
Click on the Time-sheet which you want recall, and then tap on Recall.
 
You can now easily download Office 365 Project Time Reporter iOS app from the Apple Store. The Android and Windows Phone versions of the app will soon be made available.
