Skype Updated For iOS With Redesigned Login Screen And More

Microsoft has updated its Skype app for iOS with a faster start-up time and has improved the sign-in screen to make it simpler to sign in with a Skype ID or a Microsoft account. The update brings a number of improvements related with the performance enhancements and bug fixes.

Here are the changes included in this version:
  • A redesigned sign-in screen that makes it easier to sign in with a Skype ID or a Microsoft account.
  • A new permissions pop-up for iOS7 to use the microphone for calls and audio or video messages.
  • A link to download Skype WiFi from the App Store. With the Skype WiFi you can get online at over 2 million WiFi hotspots worldwide and only pay for the minutes you use with Skype Credit.
  • Additional fixes and performance improvements.
Skype version 4.15 supports iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPod Touch (3rd, 4th & 5th generation) and for iPad it supports iPad, iPad 2, iPad (3rd & 4th generation), iPad Mini, iPad Air and iPad Mini Retina. For operating system it requires iOS 5.0 or later on all devices.
