Let us now have a look at all the new features, which are coming soon.

Gain updates from the Drive Bot

Google Drive is currently building a bot. Teams which completely depend on Slack and Google Drive can now easily include Google Docs, Sheets and Slides comments as well as requests for access. These notifications will now arrive, where you are working inside Slack, via Google Drive bot. Subsequently, the bot will then go on to use the message buttons, so as to enable you to approve, reject as well as settle comments from Slack. You can also go on to open Google Docs, so as to resolve them there.

Now, you will get the notifications where you are working – inside Slack via Google Drive bot and bot will go on to use the message buttons, so as to enable you to approve, reject and also settle comments from Slack. You can also go on to open Google Docs and resolve them there itself. The file needs to be sent to your team with an assurance of permission to view it.

The company has gone on to remove some of the permission-checking and has gone on to ensure that the files shared in Slack are only accessible to the right people. This means that when you are sharing a file with someone in a channel, Slack will immediately go on to check, if it is accessible to the group, which you have shared it with. If however, it is not the case, then Slack will immediately prompt you to update your sharing settings.

Connect Slack channels to Team Drives

The admins will now be able to connect Team Drives, so as to keep your content and conversations in sync. All the latest and the new files that are uploaded will connect with the Slack channel and the updates made by Team Drive will automatically be backed up to Team Drive and the Team Drive updates will be shared in Slack. For all those who want to make use of the advanced Cloud storage controls, the company will provide them with an option to use Team Drive as their main data storage for any files, which also provides an option, so as to use Team Drive as the main data store for any file, which you will upload to Slack.
