ThinkGeo Releases Map Suite World Map Kit Beta

ThinkGeo is excited to announce the release of the Map Suite World Map Kit Beta, a global data and rendering plugin for its Map Suite 3.0 family of GIS software components.  Designed as an extension exclusively for the Map Suite 3.0 Web, Desktop, Services or Silverlight Editions, the World Map Kit delivers a complete set of map data covering the entire world, plus professionally-designed rendering logic that produces attractive maps right out of the box.

The World Map Kit Beta ships with 18GB of optimized map data that provides full street-level coverage of the United States and Canada, and major road level detail elsewhere.  At the core of the Kit is a special rendering class that includes a customized look and feel, iconography, preset zoom levels and more, all of which allows Map Suite developers to produce professionally-designed maps with no additional work.  For developers who want to further customize their map's appearance, source code is provided so that the design can be tailored to suit.  Bundled sample applications in C# and VB.NET demonstrate how easy it is to integrate the World Map Kit into a Map Suite project.

ThinkGeo has created the World Map Kit to replace its three legacy dataset plugins: Render USA, Render Canada and Render World.  Customers who have a current Software Assurance Plan covering any of those three products can request a free upgrade DVD to the World Map Kit Beta.  New customers who purchase the World Map Kit will receive a complimentary one-year Software Assurance Plan, which entitles them to one year of free map data updates direct from ThinkGeo.

ThinkGeo plans to release additional new products in the Map Suite 3.0 line over the coming weeks.  For more information on the Map Suite World Map Kit Beta, including details on how to receive a free 60-day evaluation and the latest news on other releases in the Map Suite 3.0 product family, visit ThinkGeo's website at http://gis.thinkgeo.com.
