TypeScript 1.0 to be included in latest Visual Studio 2013 update

Update 2 to Visual Studio 2013 will include full support for TypeScript 1.0 as a first class language. So there will be no need to install a Visual Studio extension to use this new Microsoft language, a superset of JavaScript, in future:
It appears that TypeScript is proving a success both inside and  (surprisingly) outside Microsoft according to its Chief Architect, Anders Hejlsberg, who of course  also fulfils the same role in relation to C#.
It certainly makes JavaScript a more appealing proposition to advocates of strongly-typed object oriented languages.
