Windows Mobile Utility on the Move, (Works For Indian Region only)



Description:

This application can be used by any user to search the STD Code, Mobile operators circle easily throughout India. It's a very handy application which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 & 6.5 professional devices.

Features:

  • Search STD Codes with in India.
  • Search STD Codes any of the following criteria (city, state).
  • Search the city and state by entering the STD Code itself
  • Search any Indian mobile number operator / circle by entering first 4 digits except +91 or 0 (for example if the number is +919767123456 or 09767123456 then the user only has to write the first 4 digits, that is 9767 then search).
  • All relevant data is taken from reliable resources like Wikipedia and BSNL website.

Installation Guideline:
  1. Install .Net compact framework 3.5 (free download provided at Microsoft website). Below is the URL:

  2. Install the cabinet file "sql.ppc.wce5.armv4i.CAB" provided in the directory "UtilityOnTheMove.V.1.0". This installation is required for SQL CE.
  3. Install the cabinet file "UtilityOnTheMove.V.1.0.CAB" provided in the directory "UtilityOnTheMove.V.1.0". This installation is required for Utility on the Move application.

How to Use:
  1. Initial Screen: Utility on the Move

    The above screen is the initial screen which is displayed when the application starts. This screen is used to provide the general information about the application. The two buttons provided on the screen have different functionality one for mobile operator & circle search and another for STD code search.
     
  2. Find Operator & Circle:

    When the user clicks on the "Find Operator & Circle" button on the initial screen then it opens up the above screen which finds the mobile operator & circle as by entering first 4 digit of mobile number and click "Find" button which shows up the result in a tabular format. To close the above screen there is a menu link provided at the bottom left corner "Close" click on it, it will close the Find Operator screen.
     
  3. Find STD Code:

    When the user clicks on the "Find STD Code" button on the initial screen then it opens up the above screen which is used to find the STD codes by entering state or city and vice-versa after entering the criteria click "Find" button which shows up the result in a tabular format. To close the above screen there is a menu link provided at the bottom left corner "Close" click on it, it will close the Find STD Code screen.
     
  4. About:

    When user click on "About" menu link provided on the initial screen then it opens up the above screen. It provides the information regarding the source of data for mobile operators, circle & STD codes. You can also follow me on different social networking sites by clicking on the icons provided on the screen. To close the above screen there is a menu link provided at the bottom left corner "Close" click on it, it will close the About screen.
