Intel Impresses With Its New Drone At CES16

Yesterday, at the CES 2016 in Las Vegas, Intel showcased an intelligent drone that can follow you around in real time.

Intel is known for its processors and many of us may not realize this, but in the past few years, Intel has reinvented itself by introducing its own laptops, server products, solid state drives, networking equipment, and mobile and wireless solutions. Last year, Intel also introduced its IoT product lineup.

Yesterday, at the CES 2016 in Las Vegas, Intel showcased an intelligent drone that can follow you around in real time. The drone is built with a partnership.

The drone, built with a partner, the Chinese drone maker Yuneec, is called the Yuneec Typhoon H drone, and comes with Intel's 3D Real Sense camera that senses surroundings, including a person’s blood pressure and heat. The drone is intelligent enough to sense any obstacles and fly away to avoid crashes.

The Typhoon H drone starts at $2,000 and is expected to be launched in the first half of 2016.
